"The greatest moments in life are not concerned with selfish achievements but rather the things we do for the people we love."

Welcome!
My name is Abigail Hintz, and I am studying Elementary and Special education at the University of Mary. I plan to student teach in the fall of 2021, and then begin teaching as soon a possible! As I have grown over the last three years at the University of Mary, my passion for teaching has truly exploded, and I cannot wait to begin my career as an educator. Along with teaching, I also enjoy coaching volleyball and figure skating. If I am not coaching or teaching, I love spending time outdoors, with family and friends, reading a good book, or doing puzzles.
I grew up just outside of Center, North Dakota on my family's farm with my parents and six younger siblings. I loved growing up in a big family in the small community of Center. Everywhere I looked growing up, I had people supporting me. I was also fortunate to find my fiancé in this little town of Center. Garrett has been one of my biggest supporters, and we will both begin our journey as educators next year! The teachers I had growing up had a big impact on why I decided to become a teacher now. One teacher in particular had a huge impact: my mom teaches high school math and science, and little did she know all those years of me helping her set up her classroom or watching her plan lessons would help me to discover my love for teaching. Now that it is my turn to become an educator, I hope to give back to my future students the effort and love each of my teachers gave to me throughout the years. I hope that my classroom will be a place students look forward to visiting, and my students will know that no matter what, I am there for them! |
